dc.description.abstract | The transduction capability of cardiac affected neurons situated to the heart to control cardiac function was described. It was observed that the through in situ cardiac afferent activity shows evidence of independent and exponentially distributed interspike intervals. The feedback of heart status to the entire cardiac neuronal hierarchy was derived from the cardiac afferent neurons with sensory neurite fields in various regions of th heart and major intrathoracic vessels. It was observed that in neurally beased cardiac therapy the electrical stimulation of the dorsal columns of the thoracic spinal cord relieves symptoms associated with myocardial ischemia. | en_US |
